Volunteer on Race Day

Get involved in Philly’s first race to benefit and promote rescue and adoption.  Volunteers ROCK!

Each year we rely on the help of a few good men and women.  If you'd like more information about volunteering on race day, please email Allison at

Volunteer Testimonial from 2013’s race:

“Thanks for arranging such a wonderful run. The energy of both the runners and the other volunteers was infectious! I handed out bananas at the finish line and many of the runners thanked me for such a great experience. Overall, everything went very smoothly and you would never know that it was the first time the race was held.  I look forward to volunteering in the race next year...and perhaps running the 5K as well!” - Laura C.

Volunteer activities:

Registration table, handing out t-shirts, parking marshals, cheer squads along the course, parking cone placement, directing runners, handing out water, etc.   There is something for everyone!   (And yes, you’ll get a t-shirt too!)  We will need volunteers from 7AM until noon.   Join the fun!

Students and Community Groups:  If you need to complete community service hours, we are more than happy to fill out the proper forms for you!  We welcome your energy and enthusiasm.

Groups:  We welcome groups of volunteers and will happily promote your group for your volunteer efforts.  Email us for more details!
